Using our map and the very helpful blue tourist attractions direction signs, we made our way to a section of the Berlin Wall and the Topography of Terror, a museum and previous location of the Gestapo and SS Headquarters. A free attraction, the open air section of the museum runs the length of the wall and provides information and photographs on the rise of the Nazi Party and Adolf Hitler. More documentation is location in the museum building that is built on the site of SS Headquarters.

Colonel Claus Schenk Count von Stauffenberg who tried to assassinate Hitler with a bomb at the Wolfs Lair. Can you see a resemblance to Tom Cruise for the movie Valkyrie?
One of the major cons of the Nazi party against the German community. This shows a poster for Volkswagon from the Nazi organisation saying 'Strength Through Joy'. From 1935 hundreds of thousands of Germans saved for a VW that cost 990 Reich marks. The slogan said "If you want to drive your own car put 5 marks a week in your savings jar." 336,000 saving cards were handed in by people but nobody got the car. It was only built for the serving German Wehrmacht.

It was at this place that over 100 people were killed trying to cross the wall from east to west.
